Chair Joanna French said Massachusetts School Building Authority officials and consultants toured Thurston Middle School Sept. 1, examining building systems and capacity issues as part of the agency's pipeline process for Westwood's Statement of Interest. Town Administrator Connor Reed and Select Board Chair Marianne LeBlanc-Cummings briefed the committee on a proposed capital and tax mitigation stabilization fund meant to help cover costs for Thurston and a project referred to as "FS1."
