Westwood Earns National Recognition for Financial Reporting

Westwood's finance department has been honored for the 29th consecutive year for the quality of its annual financial reporting, while the Westwood Public Library opened a week of concrete community programming built around author talks, climate education and family events.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Westwood Public Library kicks off the week with two notable adult programs. Author Jeff Romano brings a slideshow presentation on New England hiking destinations to the Community Meeting Room on Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m., covering trails and itineraries across all six New England states. Two days later, on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m., the library welcomes Mass Audubon for a talk on local climate impacts and solutions, part of the library's programming for Climate Preparedness Week.

The library's fall calendar also features several family and children's offerings this week, including storytime, music and movement sessions, and a Lego-themed movie watch party, alongside adult programs such as a ukulele play-along group and a queer crafting and movie night.
