Westwood Planning Board Approves Everett Street Parking Changes, Backs Nine Town Meeting Articles
WESTWOOD — April 7, 2026 — Westwood Planning Board approves Everett Street parking boost and unanimously backs nine Town Meeting zoning articles. At the April 7 meeting, the board approved the relocation of an on-site playground and the addition of two off-street parking spaces at the mixed-use development at 22 and 40 Everett Street, bringing the site's total approved parking to 256 spaces, up from 254; the public hearing on remaining plan amendments, including a potential playground redesign, was continued to April 21. The board also voted unanimously to recommend Town Meeting voter approval of nine zoning warrant articles for the May 2026 Annual Town Meeting and closed its associated bylaw amendment public hearing. In a third proceeding, the board continued without a vote its ongoing review of its own meeting procedures, including proposals to cap agendas at four applications per meeting and to impose a hard 10 p.m. meeting end time.
