WESTWOOD — February 10, 2026 — Westwood Planning Board advances seven-item zoning package toward May Town Meeting vote. The board, chaired by Ellen Rawlings, continued its public hearing February 10 on proposed bylaw amendments covering battery energy storage systems, adult daycare client capacity, animal daycare in commercial and industrial districts, building height measurement in setback areas, the Administrative Office Research district, short-term rentals, and indoor commercial recreation permitting. Among the most significant proposals: a definition-and-tier framework for battery storage systems, an increase in the adult daycare client cap from 20 to 30, and a new regulatory scheme for short-term rentals combining zoning and general bylaw changes. The hearing was continued to February 24, 2026, with no votes taken.
