Westwood's Select Board signed the warrant for the Oct. 26 Special Town Meeting. The board voted 3-0 on a roll call at a brief Zoom-only session. Town Clerk Dottie Powers said a constable would post the warrant by the weekend.

Article 1 seeks money to design, build, furnish and equip a new Fire Station 1, funded from free cash, the sale of real estate fund, meals and hotel tax revenue, the recreation revolving fund and borrowing. Article 2 would transfer $1,035,419 from an energy credit and an insurance reimbursement into the capital stabilization fund and rename it the Capital and Tax Impact Stabilization Fund. The Finance and Warrant Commission unanimously recommended both articles, and the project also goes to voters as ballot question 10 on Nov. 3.
